RIFLE COURSES

Target Down Group’s rifle program builds shooters into confident, adaptable riflemen prepared for defense and real-world application. Students learn the application of rifle setup, accuracy, and handling under pressure. Key skills include rapid ready-up drills, multiple target engagement, movement and varied shooting positions. Training also focuses on using cover and concealment effectively while engaging targets under time, ensuring students leave with practical defensive proficiency they can apply in home-defense or threat-response scenarios.

The training escalates with Tactical Rifle, a course designed to push rifle handling into dynamic and complex environments. Shooters progress through movement-based live fire, close-quarters retention work, and  tactics. Scenario-based exercises including room clearing, vehicle cover drills, and active threat engagements while adding realism and pressure. Both day and night course formats are available, with night training incorporating white-light integration, target identification, and low-light drills. Together, these rifle courses give participants the skills, confidence, and tactical mindset to perform when it matters most.

DEFENSIVE RIFLE
Day to Night Course
20 June 2026: 6 pm - 10 pm

Day-to-Night Defensive Rifle is a progressive, realism-driven course designed to develop confident, capable carbine shooters across changing light conditions. Beginning in daylight and transitioning into low-light and darkness, this course focuses on practical rifle employment for personal defense and professional use. Emphasis is placed on movement, positional shooting, use of cover, close-quarters problem solving, and sound decision-making as environmental conditions degrade.

Students will progress through structured daylight fundamentals before applying those skills during reduced-light and night-fire evolutions. Live-fire drills and scenario-based exercises reinforce efficient rifle handling, target discrimination, and threat engagement while working around barriers, in confined spaces, and during rapidly evolving problems. This course delivers repeatable, real-world skills with a strong emphasis on safety, accountability, and immediate performance gains—day or night.

TRAINING HIGHLIGHTS

Daylight Rifle Fundamentals

  • Barricade shooting (supported / unsupported, standoff)

  • Shooting while moving (forward, rearward, and lateral)

  • Positional shooting from standing, kneeling, and prone

Low-Light & Night Rifle Employment

  • White light integration and management techniques

  • Target identification and discrimination in reduced visibility

  • Movement and use of cover in low-light environments

  • Rifle manipulation and reloads in darkness

Close-Quarters Rifle Application

  • High ready vs. low ready considerations in confined spaces

  • Safe, progressive instruction:
All training follows a structured progression from explanation and dry runs to live fire, ensuring safety while building confidence and competence throughout the day-to-night transition.

  • Built for professionals and responsible citizens:
Whether you are a duty professional refining rifle skills or a responsible citizen seeking defensible carbine capability, instruction scales to experience level and mission requirements.

  • Immediate feedback & measurable results:
