PISTOL COURSES

At Target Down Group, our pistol program is designed to take shooters from the ground up, progressing through foundational skills, defensive applications, and  tactical scenarios. In Pistol Foundations, students establish proper stance, grip, sight alignment, and trigger control before moving into reloads, malfunction clearing, and timed accuracy drills. Building on that, Defensive Pistol introduces real-world applications, including one-handed shooting, movement under stress, defensive use of cover, and shoot/no-shoot decision-making. These courses prepare students to handle a pistol with confidence and control in any environment.

The series culminates with Tactical Pistol, where shooters push beyond defensive skills into dynamic, scenario-based training. Students engage in movement drills, close-quarters retention firing, and scenario-based exercises simulating home-defense and active threat encounters. Each course is available in both day and night formats, with night instruction focusing on low-light target identification, weapons mounted white light integration, and room-clearing techniques. Together, these courses provide a complete path for anyone serious about building and mastering pistol skills in both defensive and tactical environments.
